COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 23

Requesting the West Virginia Division of Highways to name the
replacement bridge across the Tygart River at Benton's Ferry
the "Benton's Ferry Bridge" in honor of former Delegate Nick
Fantasia, Sr.
Whereas, Nick Fantasia served the people of Marion and Taylor
Counties with distinction for many years as a Delegate from the 43d
District; and
Whereas, Nick Fantasia helped shape the future of the children
of his region, serving for many years with dedication and purpose
as an educator; and
Whereas, Nick Fantasia successfully contributed to the greater
good of his region over the years as both a businessman and former
labor leader; and
Whereas, It is only fitting that someone who has given so much
to his region be recognized and honored for his lifetime of outstanding contributions; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Legislature hereby requests the West Virginia
Division of Highways to name the replacement bridge across the
Tygart River at Benton's Ferry the "Benton's Ferry Bridge" in honor
of Delegate Nick Fantasia, Sr.; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House is hereby
directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the Commissioner
of the Division of Highways and to Nick Fantasia, Sr.
